In most off-grid solar systems, Hinvert inverter/charger integrated with MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) solar charge controller is the central energy management unit. Its primary job is to supply ‘pure sine wave’ AC power, and it must be able to meet the power requirements of the appliances under all conditions. In addition, the inverter/charger regulates the battery charging and monitors energy flow from solar array or backup generators.

Appliances in a home operate on AC current. Solar array generates DC current. A solar charge controller regulates DC power from solar arrays to charge the batteries.
